Once the engagement ring is delivered and the wedding is organized, the wedding rings are acquired to formalize the bond at the ceremony. They are usually the same or similar and are chosen by both boyfriends.
The alliances, are the symbol par excellence of marriage. On its origin, there are multiple theories, although one of the most accepted is the connection that connects the ring finger to the heart through a vein that communicates. This vein has been known since the time of the Greeks as the vein of love. Others place the origin in the time of ancient Egypt perpetuating the love with a circular form.
The most commonly used material is yellow gold although alliances of white gold and platinum can be seen.
Usually the yellow gold is used because the alliance is a jewel that is not usually removed and that to go in the hand usually has much more wear.
With the white gold we have the disadvantage that due to its use the rhodium layer will disappear very quickly. On the other hand is the most exclusive option of platinum, which when not alloyed with any other material the white color does not vary and its maintenance is reduced to a polishing every time.
Inside the ring, it is usually recorded the name of the couple and the date of the celebration of the link.
Types of wedding bands
The design is usually simple and elegant, generally in Spain gems are not added and smooth models are used, however there are more and more couples who demand more innovative models in which they are allowed to embed small diamonds or some kind of precious stone.
Here are some examples:
All Cane Alliances
They are the simplest of all and possibly the most demanded by its simplicity. One could consider the most classic alliances of all. They always go in yellow gold and are called half-cane because of its curved shape. It can be medium or high cane, everything depends on the curvature you want.
This is another of the more classic options. It is timeless and simple.
If you want something different there is always the possibility of combining two or even three colors of gold, giving it a different and alternative touch.
As we have said this would be the most exclusive option since not being alloyed with any other material the color white does not vary and its maintenance is reduced to a polishing every time.
At German Jeweler we give it a touch of distinction with avant-garde designs in which we even combine gold with platinum.
Alliances of brilliant
This option is not very widespread, but it is very common in Anglo-Saxon countries. It consists of an alliance with several small diamonds mounted usually in white gold or platinum.
The alliance of brilliant has the advantage of being able to be combined with the solitaire of requested in the same finger.
Finally, to emphasize that little by little the custom design of alliances is imposed, with the intention of creating a unique jewel. Here an appointment is requested in any of our jewelleries in Madrid and a professional is creating together with the client a design of alliances that only limits the imagination.
